Loop online is open again! + Meet the Maker: Rachel Atkinson

We’re bringing you a post with two fantastic things in it this Friday! We are sharing the next instalment of our Meet the Maker series, and we’re also bringing you the news that today, Friday 1st May, is our first day having our online shop back up and running for you to place your orders! Read on to see the lovely video about Rachel Atkinson of Daughter of a Shepherd, and to find out more information on the re-opening of our online shop, and about what we have just restocked for you.

Our online shop is open!

We have re-opened our online shop, so you can place orders with us again!

We want to remind you that we will be a skeleton crew of just two a day in the shop, pulling and packing your orders on different floors. We would like to ask that you please be patient with us as the post will definitely take longer between our situation, and Royal Mail also greatly slowed down between their own lack of staff and the great increase in parcels being sent and delivered in the UK, and internationally.

Given that we will be a very small team for now, we ask that if you have any requests you put them in the notes section on your order rather than emailing the shop afterwards, as this will help with our workload. We also ask that you try, as best you can, not to change anything in your order once placed by emailing us. Again, there will be just two of us in the shop and we would really love to concentrate on getting as many orders out to people as possible, as having to go through bags of packed orders to change something will be very difficult at this time. We really appreciate this.

We have still been receiving deliveries whilst the shop has been closed, and we are fully stocked up with so many of our favourite yarns, kits and haberdashery! Below is a list, with links, to products we have lots of stock of – perhaps there’s something you’ve been waiting for!

Meet the Maker: Rachel Atkinson

Meet the Maker Rachel Atkinson at Loop London

Welcome to the third film in our Meet the Maker series with Yorkshire gal Rachel Atkinson.

Her passion for the importance of provenance, collaborating with both shepherds, mills, designers and weavers has been a wonder to watch unfold over the last few years. We love her, her yarn and her story.

Watch our Meet the Maker film with Rachel Atkinson!

As we mentioned above, we love Rachel’s gorgeous undyed yarns very much and we have just received a delivery from her! Her yarns are stocked up on our website, and you can find them here, and we also stock Rachel’s wonderful book Daughter of a Shepherd Volume 1: Beginnings. All the patterns featured in the book use either her 4ply or DK weight Heritage yarns.

Once again, huge thanks to Richard Jung for this beautiful film, and thank you so much to Rachel for taking part in our Meet the Maker series!
