This week we’re showcasing two amazing designers we stock at Loop – All The Beautiful Linen and Kaliko. Both these companies are owned and run by very talented women, who make truly wonderful project bags. We also have our newest Meet the Maker film for you, which features the wonderful Paola Vanzo of mYak Tibetan Fibres, so be sure to keep on reading!

A new kit has arrived at Loop! Torhild’s Colours is a wonderful new pattern from Isager, and we have four different kits available. We’ll be talking about the kit this week, and showing you all the great variations we have.

Our new Meet the Maker video is here! We have a lovely short film for you this week where you can ‘meet’ Autumn Fussell (aka dottie angel), of Curious and Coe! A friend to Loop for years, Autumn has taught at Loop both in our London shop and at our NYC popup and designed the Rosemaling Mitts that grace the cover of our 10th Anniversary book. We hope you enjoy this peek into her incredibly inspiring world and atelier as well as hearing her story. And keep on reading as we have a pattern round up from the newly released Making …

Gilliatt in gorgeous pinks, yellows and mustards

This week we’re grateful to have so many wonderful things close at hand – including Gilliatt from De Rerum Natura. This yarn is fairly new to Loop, and we are so very glad we have it! We’re showing you the gorgeous colours, and we have pattern suggestions this week too.

We’re bringing you a post with two fantastic things in it this Friday! We are sharing the next instalment of our Meet the Maker series, and we’re also bringing you the news that today, Friday 1st May, is our first day having our online shop back up and running for you to place your orders! Read on to see the lovely video about Rachel Atkinson of Daughter of a Shepherd, and to find out more information on the re-opening of our online shop, and about what we have just restocked for you.

We have another wonderful short film from our Meet the Maker series, in collaboration with film maker Richard Jung, to show you today! Julie Arkell has been a long-time friend of Susan, owner of Loop, and of the shop. She has taught several classes a year for many years, and we also sell her beautiful handmade pieces in our London and online shop. Read on for beautiful insights into Julie’s work!

We’re bringing you the first instalment of our new video series ‘Meet the Maker’ this week! We are so excited about this project, which is in collaboration with film maker Richard Jung. Melanie talks about her life, her design process and how the knitting community and the act of knitting gives her and others such joy.

During these strange in-between days spending time at home, rather than at the shop, the Loopettes have been finding sources of comfort from many different places. This week we’re sharing some of those things – lots of us have been knitting, but we’re also stitching, cooking, gardening and reading to keep our minds occupied and our hands busy.

We thought that this week we would share some of the great things we’ve been seeing popping up online during these difficult times. We hope that, while our London and online shops are closed, you’ll be able to continue your creativity and find some wonderful things to occupy your time. Not limited to just craft but also cooking, cinema and theatre; some of our favourites are below!
