January is often very grey and cold for those in the northern hemisphere, so this week we wanted to look at the fabulous book Knits About Winter by Emily Foden, which was published just over a year ago. We’re starting this week with sweet gifts for lovers of haberdashery, sewing and darning, as 2019 saw the expansion of our beautiful haberdashery selections at Loop!
New Autumn Winter scarves and wraps from Sophie Digard are arriving at Loop. We are so in love with these new designs and colour palettes; this week we are highlighting their beauty. We have loved Sophie’s work for a long time, and are proud of the large collection that we receive each year.
This week we’re taking a look at some of our fantastic new kits that launched last week, as well as some new treasures that are in the shop now. Some of our kits are available to pre-order rather than purchase straight away; they were so popular they sold out over last weekend, but they will be replenished very soon!
What an exciting week! Our beautiful new Crepe Myrtle shawl has launched today! Designed for us by Olga Buraya-Kefelian, we now have kits in two different colour ways, and individual printed patterns, available online, in store and at our NYC pop-up, which is open this weekend.
This time next week our ‘Loop in NYC’ pop-up shop will be opening! We are so excited about going back to the West Village and partnering with Paola of mYak at the Here Now space. This week we are sharing previews of some of the amazing yarns, kits and haberdashery we will have with us next week. All the kits will also be launching Friday 15th in our London shop, and online.
This week we are sharing an article written for us by Lorna Hamilton-Brown, in honour of Black History Month here in the UK. We are extremely thankful to Lorna for her work on the subject of documenting and exploring the experiences of black knitters.
