This week we are obsessing over some of the wonderful new haberdashery items in the shop, that are just perfect for those Spring projects for the warmer days to come, or for finishing off your Winter projects with beautiful details. We have new darning mushrooms, buttons, stitch markers and more!

We wanted to take some time this week to talk about all these lovely items that we have in at the moment. We have so many goodies that have arrived recently!

Our ‘Copper Berries‘ stitch markers are back in stock after a long hiatus. These little cuties are handmade with copper findings and 10mm beads, perfect for marking lace repeats or raglan increases!

We also have lots of wonderful new buttons at Loop. These cute pictorial buttons are the perfect thing for Spring cardigans or sweet baby sweaters. We would add the butterfly buttons to cardigans, and we would use the birds, or the lovely minimal baby buttons for projects for babies.

Our grosgrain ribbon from Bungalow in Denmark comes in 54 colours, there are 9 colour palettes with 6 shades in each palette. This is great for sewing into the inside of a steeked cardigan, along the button band.

You could use this for the new Marit cardigan from Laine Magazine issue 7, which launched today! It would also be beautiful threaded through the eyelets on our Oleander Wrap. So many possibilities!

We are so excited to have more of the incredible handmade darning mushrooms from Hikaru Noguchi back in stock. These are designed by Hikaru and handmade in Japan. We have the cute painted toadstool design in stock, as well as the design that incorporates a detachable ‘ring’, which can be stretched over fabric to keep it in place while you work. These beauties will sell quickly, so grab one while you can!

We also have a few vintage darning mushrooms at the moment. We source these carefully and they are always in good condition. We have one at the moment that is stunningly hand painted!

There are still a few of our gorgeous botanically dyed project bags from Kaliko in stock. We have bags with zip tops in stock; the drawstring bags with the handles sold out so quickly! We’re so pleased they went down so well with you, and we will be restocking this design in April. Our April delivery will also include two new additional colours!

If you are going to be at EYF, we will have some of our Kaliko bags on our stand, so you’ll be able to come and see them and choose your favourite. There is a little more EYF information at the bottom of this post.

Lastly, we want to let you know we have some exciting new classes coming up in the next few months. We are so happy to say we will be hosting a Colour Work Hat class with Liz Baltesz. Liz is a colour work expert, and will be teaching everything you’ll need to know to get started with colour work knitting. We also have new dates for our Improvers Knitting class, taught by Loopette Emma Brace, and a brand new Beginners Crochet class, with new-to-Loop teacher Kath Webber.

We are also over the moon to welcome back Adriana Torres of Miga de Pan. Adriana will be teaching a wonderful embroidery class, where you will learn different embroidery stitches that will be incorporated into a beautiful botanical alphabet sampler. This workshop will be a full day on Sunday 12th May, how exciting!

As you may remember, we had a super exciting giveaway running on Instagram this week. The prize was a sweater quantity of Mrs Moon Plump, for the new Zig Zag Sweater, also by Mrs Moon. We had so many entries, so we want to say a big thank you to everyone who read our post and entered. However, the winner of the sweater quantity is @ambsknits, over on Instagram. Congratulations Amber!

We will be running more giveaways in the future, so keep your eyes peeled for more goodies to be won!

Loop is going to Edinburgh Yarn Festival! Come and visit us there at stand H1, with beautiful hand dyed yarns, special guests Emily Foden of Viola yarns, Bristol Ivy and Helga Isager, as well as gorgeous books, amazing haberdashery and handmade project bags. We can’t wait to see you there!
