Making Magazine The ever growing independent magazine scene has some new delights that we’re now stocking! It’s such a wonderful thing that people are taking to self-publishing – we are so happy to support it by having these amazing new publications for you to enjoy at Loop!

When Making first arrived, we were astonished to see it vanish off the shelves in less than a day! But it really is no surprise as this beautifully curated magazine is such an inspiring treat. Brought to you by Carrie Bostick Hoge of Maddermade, Making is a collection of projects, including knitting, crochet, quilting and embroidery and the theme that ties these all together for this issue is Flora.

Of course, we’re ear marking the pretty summer knits such as the Tulip Fields Shawlette and Silver Leaf Cardie.

Plus we have just had a second batch of Making arrive at the shop!

Another publication we’re excited about is Knit Wit, which is all about the modern craft movement with a focus on fibre, textiles, and the community of makers involved. It’s a publication for anyone with a curious mind, a love of design and an interest in people.

Knit Wit features articles of a certain outdoorsy feel for this issue, starting with cover star Maura Ambrose who grows or forages all the dyes with which she creates fabric from hand-stitched quilts.

Of course, we have our regular favourites like Pom Pom Quarterly, Amirisu and Oh Comely.
