Hello everyone – this week we’re very sad to bring you the news that we have had to close our online shop for the time being. We have the details here and a few lovely bright things to share too.

For the safety of the Loop staff and their families, the online shop is having a break for several weeks, which we hope to return from soon. In the meantime, we’ll do our best to answer any emails or queries you may have.

If you are registered on our site with an account , you can still use the wishlist feature so you can plan all of your projects and be ready when we re-open our online ‘doors’! We hope to see you back there soon and hope you all stay healthy and safe in the meantime.

You can keep in touch with us here on the blog, where we’ll still be sharing content (although not always knitting related!), and of course through our Instagram @looplondonloves.

Some lovely things for you this week

Each week on the blog we now want to bring you soothing tips – things we’re knitting, reading, cooking and listening to, as well as new patterns or wonderful knitalongs or anything else we might think you would like to see!

This week we want to firstly share Susan’s podcast pick!

Phoebe reads a mystery

Criminal podcast is one of my favourites and this week, because they are also self isolating, Phoebe Judge (the host) is reading a chapter a day of an Agatha Christie mystery. This will be my choice this week for comfort and wonderful distraction: to listen to Phoebe’s soothing voice reading ‘The Mysterious Affair at Styles’ while I knit. It’s my kind of heaven really!”

You can find Criminal at @criminal_podcast  and all the Criminal podcast episodes at thisiscriminal.com where they also fun illustrations for each podcast, and you can subscribe and listen via the podcast app on your phone!

We also wanted to share a little round up of some of our favourite designers who are currently offering discounts or free patterns;

  • All patterns in the Laine Magazine Ravelry Store are 40% off until the end of April! You don’t need a coupon code, just add the pattern(s) to your cart and the price will adjust automatically.
  • Whitney Hayward is offering all the patterns she has designed for Harrisville Designs for free! Harrisville have said; “It is our hope that turning to fiber crafts will bring a small reprieve for those finding themselves spending more time in their homes in response to Covid-19.
  • The Petite Knitter is also offering 40% off the patterns in their Ravelry store, no code needed!
