One of our very favourite yarns at Loop is Qing Fibre. Hand dyed in London by Layla and her expert team, Qing Fibre yarns are a dream to knit and crochet with, and they come in a gorgeous rainbow of colour. A huge delivery from Qing Fibre landed at Loop recently, so we wanted to show you some of the brand new colours from their Shangri-La collection, just arrived for Summer 2019.

We are so happy to announce that Loop will be back in New York this November for our second pre-Holiday pop-up shop. We will be there from Friday 15th to Sunday 17th November for a full weekend of shopping, workshops and social events. We’ll be returning to the Here Now space in the West Village and we’re so excited! Wow! Cécile Franconie’s new book, ‘Floralies‘, has us swooning, so this week we want to show you how beautiful it is. Cécile is an incredibly talented embroiderer from France, with a unique and very decorative style, with lots of beautiful floral motifs. We are so lucky, as Cécile has been teaching a few classes at Loop this Spring/Summer. We’ve been honoured to welcome her back to the shop.

This week we introduce a brand new series to our blog. ‘On Our Needles’ will be all about the Loop staff, what they’re working on and how they use the wonderful selection of yarns at Loop. Our newest Madelinetosh delivery arrived very recently and it contained almost 100% brand new colours! We now have over 30 new colour ways across the Merino Light, Twist Light, Unicorn Tails, Pashmina, Tosh DK and Home bases. We think there are some wonderful potentials for three colour fades!

June has arrived and summer is finally upon us! With June comes the recent release of two great new issues of independent publications – Laine Magazine issue 8 and Pom Pom Quarterly issue 29. We’re dipping into these magazines this week, to bring you lots of ideas for summer knitting. with some of the many beautiful yarns stocked at Loop.

As you may know, we love CaMaRose yarns at Loop! With wonderful fibre blends, a wide range of great colours, and organic bases, there’s no wonder we can’t get enough of them! We have recently added a new CaMaRose base to the selection we have at Loop; Snefnug, meaning snowflake in Danish, is super soft, super versatile and affordable!

It almost feels like summer in London, so again we’re thinking about more timeless summer knits. A few weeks ago we collected knitting pattern ideas for the mYak Baby Yak + Silk yarn, and this week we’re looking at Amirisu Issue 18, which launched today!

We’re bringing you a short post this week, to tell you about a new kit we now have at Loop. The Harlequin Blanket Kit is brand new from CaMaRose, and we are so pleased to have it at the shop! CaMaRose is a favourite brand of many members of staff at Loop; the Danish brand is a lovely supplier of wonderful wools at very reasonable prices. They have a big colour palette with lots of beautiful shades. We stock the Yaku, Hverdagsuld and Lama-tweed, and the Snefnug, which has just arrived!
