We are excited to announce that new kits for Mabel’s Sister are now available! Our newest kit uses Eden Cottage Bowland DK. This is a favourite yarn at Loop, so it was our first choice for another version of Mabel’s Sister. This special yarn is hand dyed in England and is 100% Blue Faced Leicester. It has a wonderful lustre, and is wonderfully soft and squishy once knitted.
We have a brand new yarn! Woolly Mammoth Fibre Co. was debuted at Loop during Edinburgh Yarn Festival, and we now have it in our London store as well as online. We have two different yarns from Woolly Mammoth, and we’re so happy to welcome them to the selection of wonderful naturally dyed yarns we already have in stock at Loop. We are also running a giveaway this week, with a beautiful bundle of Woolly Mammoth Natural Sock minis up for grabs! Keep on reading to find out more.
This week we want to spend some time with the newest book from Helga Isager, ‘Stitches‘. The book launched (and sold out!) on our stand at EYF last weekend, and we are so thrilled to have hosted Helga Isager on our stand. We have been a stockist of Isager’s yarns for many years, and created our own designs using their yarns over the years including Oleander, Pinwheel Mitts and Blink. Loop now stocks two more of their yarns, Isager Tweed and Isager Bomulin – we have several staff members planning their summer projects for the Bomulin already!

We also have the printed pattern in our London shop, and online. This gorgeous cardigan has been designed by Fiona Alice, a former Loopette, especially for us. Fiona also designed our Mabel Cardigan, a sweet little baby cardigan. With the release of Mabel’s Sister, you’ll be able to match with your little ones!
It’s now less than a week until The Edinburgh Yarn Festival. We have everything packed up, and we’re starting to get very excited about our trip up to Scotland! We have so many exciting new things lined up, that will be launching at EYF. But don’t worry if you’re not able to attend, we will have lots of our new items available in store soon, and some of our books and kits are available right now.
It’s already that time of year! Edinburgh Yarn Festival is just a few weeks away and we have been working very hard at Loop to plan and pack up the amazing selection of yarns and haberdashery that we will have with us this year. This week we’re going to give you a little sneak peek of all the goodies that will be on Loop’s stand this year.
A few days ago, we received a very exciting delivery from Mondo Fil in Kyoto, Japan. We have added to the yarns we stock from Mondo Fil, and we are so excited to tell you about the newest editions. Mondo Fil yarns are always so interesting and unique, and are so inspiring when new deliveries arrive. The boxes are always filled with playful happy colours!
With the launch of Laine Magazine issue 7 last Friday, and the imminent launch of Pom Pom Quarterly 28 on the 28th of this month, we want to take a closer look at these wonderful publications. Both have amazing patterns that we are itching to cast on, and we are lucky enough to carry some of the yarns that are used!
This week we are obsessing over some of the wonderful new haberdashery items in the shop, that are just perfect for those Spring projects for the warmer days to come, or for finishing off your Winter projects with beautiful details. We have new darning mushrooms, buttons, stitch markers and more!
We’re so excited about all the wonderful new patterns that use Mrs Moon yarn! A favourite at Loop, the different bases from Mrs Moon are all super soft and wonderful to work with and the bright, beautiful colour palette always makes us happy. We have the Plump, the Pudding, and an amazing kit that includes Plump DK.
