Making Magazine Issue 10 Intricate is launching today! We’ve all been waiting to see what’s in store for us in this beautiful issue. This week we focus on several projects in the magazine to keep us inspired and making.

We are so thrilled to have some new sets of Linladan’s wonderful 100% linen thread! You might remember the beautiful Nordiska vintage threads we had a few weeks ago from Tanja of Linladan in Sweden.  This thread is Lyster linen and is the same weight as the vintage linen threads. Each box has two kinds of the Lyster linen threads. One is a soft ,even thread and the other a slightly firmer more fibrous thread. They are all incredibly beautiful.

We are so excited to be sharing this Anniversary with you! We have been working hard with some of the incredibly talented people who have been a part of Loop over the years to bring you some exceptional products. This week we are celebrating with Temaricious.

At Loop we are crazy about haberdashery. We have an amazing selection of embroidery threads and kits. And this week we’d like to share with you some of the most beautiful embroidery and mending threads we stock. From Teinture Sauvage botanically dyed wool to Nordiska vintage linen threads from Sweden, all in extra special Loop boxes.

Christmas is almost here! If you’re still looking for a gift for a loved one, we have a few last minute suggestions for you. The last posting days before Christmas have now passed, but if you’re in London and can visit our shop (we’re open this weekend), or are celebrating the holidays a little later, we can help you out!

Well, December is upon us! This gift giving season we want to help you pick out thoughtful and beautiful gifts for your loved ones (or just for you!), so over the next few weeks we’ll be posting some great gift round-ups. We’re starting this week with sweet gifts for lovers of haberdashery, sewing and darning, as 2019 saw the expansion of our beautiful haberdashery selections at Loop!

As summer draws to a close, and autumn arrives (bringing lots of rain to London), we’re pulling out our knitwear, and those almost-completed projects, in need of a few finishing touches. We have some new buttons, and we’re stocked up to the rafters with ribbons galore – we’re hoping this lovely little collection will encourage you to finish that cardigan, shawl or sweater you’ve had on the back burner!

Wow! Cécile Franconie’s new book, ‘Floralies‘, has us swooning, so this week we want to show you how beautiful it is. Cécile is an incredibly talented embroiderer from France, with a unique and very decorative style, with lots of beautiful floral motifs. We are so lucky, as Cécile has been teaching a few classes at Loop this Spring/Summer. We’ve been honoured to welcome her back to the shop.

Loop has new embroidery threads! Au Ver A Soie was established in Paris in 1820, and has been producing high quality silk threads since then. They are perfect for all kinds of embroidery and stitching, even luxurious quilting! These lovely silks can also be used in jewellery making, tapestry, visible mending, cross stitch, sashiko, lace making, and more.
