Berroco yarns have been staples on the shelves at Loop for as long as we can remember. Perfect for cosy sweaters and beautiful accessories alike, we also love Berroco for its amazing patterns too. This week we have a special treat for you! If you’re a regular Ravelry user, you will probably have seen that one of our favourite designers, Stephen West, has been hosting a ‘knit-along’ and releasing stunning patterns as part of his Westy’s Besties KAL recently. This week, the pattern being released is the shawl he originally designed for Loop – the Westloop Shawl! Stephen has very kindly agreed to offer the pattern for free to Loop customers who purchase the yarn for the pattern in either Brooklyn Tweed LOFT or or the Isager yarns required for the pattern. Hooray!

We’re having a love affair with crochet this autumn. We’ve got many new products to help and inspire  hookers everywhere.

Loop is launching its own range of patterns. (Okay, there ‘s only one in the “range” so far, but we are working on more). Our first, is this lovely baby cardi, Mignon, that uses just one skein of yarn. We have knit this sample in Uncommon Thread, which is a beautiful hand-dyed Bluefaced Leicester. This colourway is called Into Dust. Really Dreamy! But the fun doesn’t stop there… I have to show you this funky and slightly butcher version in Uncommon Thread Brassica. Just after my last post, Paulina came into the shop with this fabulous Cameo shawl made in Finch. Paulina has been a regular customer for years, and we were delighted when she started designing and publishing her own patterns. We asked her to use Finch for her most recent design, and this asymmetrical striped shawl is what she came up with. We found there were lots of ways of styling it and playing with the stripes.
