We always look forward to the publication of a new issue of Laine Magazine. It’s always so full of inspiration in the form of patterns, interviews, articles and of course gorgeous photography. We’ve talked about our excitement for the interview with mYak co-founder Paola Vanzoa and patterns using mYak Tibetan Cloud and worsted weight Woolstok previous blog, but there’s still so much more to explore. Today we’re delving into a few of the lovely patterns in this autumn’s issue.
This week we’re welcoming John Arbon Textiles to Loop for the first time as skeins of Yarnadelic hit the shelves!
It’s no secret that Blue Sky Fibers Woolstock is one of our favourite yarns, and soon we’ll need to make more room on the shelf as when sister yarn Woolstok Light launches next month.
Q: What do you get when you combine the high quality mohair of the Angora goat, the soft wool of the Merino sheep, the sumptuous fibre of the Mongolian yak, the fine quality of mulberry silk and years of experience developing natural yarns? A: Pascuali Filati Naturali‘s newest yarn, ‘Manada‘
Summer may be in full swing but all we want to do is cuddle up for story time with the Baby Bear onesie designed by Cocoknits founder Julie Weisenberger. This adorable knit is the perfect way to welcome a special little one into the world.
We are so excited to have collaborated with our old friend Emma Kylmala of Town Dyer to bring a new bunch of naturally dyed yarns to the shop. A former Loopette who also worked as a shoe dyer for the Royal Ballet, Town Dyer combines Emma’s love of knitting with her love of natural dyes and the results are stunning.
The latest issue of Amirisu has arrived! This biannual knitting magazine from Japan is always a highly anticipated arrival, and the spring/summer 2021 theme of “layers” provides much to get lost in.
We are so excited to have received the rest of our long-awaited shipment from La Bien Aimée! Sumptuous Merino Singles, delicate Mohair Silk and versatile Merino DK are all filling our shelves and we couldn’t be more pleased.
The new-to-Loop La Bien Aimeé Merino Sport has made an appearance, and it is gorgeous! For now we’ve received five beautiful hand-dyed colours from Paris but we are expecting lots more in the coming days. The Merino Sport is a soft, three-ply superwash merino with a high twist that absorbs the hand-dyed colour so beautifully.
