This week we are launching a new kit! The Floral KOKON Blouse designed by Teti Lutsak of Nutsknitwear is a stunning blouse designed especially for the beautiful and cosy hand-dyed chunky mohair from KOKON yarns.   We fell in love with this gorgeous sweater as soon as we caught a glimpse of it. The design is a collaboration between two talented women, Teti Lutsak and Michelle Du Plessis of KOKON Yarns. Teti and Michelle were kind enough to give us a little glimpse into what inspires and nurtures their creative passions.

To say it’s been a challenging year is quite an understatement but in some ways it has given us a much needed perspective about what is really important in our lives.  Family, friends and wellbeing in general became a focus and learning new skills that nurtured our yearnings for deeper meaning and lasting connections helped us stay positive. So, although this holiday season may look a bit different for many of us this year, it’s more important than ever to find ways of showing gratitude, sharing love and celebrating what truly matters.

The Fall/ Winter issue of Amirisu “From Land to Needles” is launching next Friday, the 6th of November. We thought we’d give you a sneak peek into some of the gorgeous patterns this beautiful magazine has to offer. And more treasures from Japan have arrived with new stock of Minä Perhonen buttons and fabric swatches!

This week we thought we’d focus on two very beautiful shawls that we’ve been admiring at Loop! Cinnabar by Andrea Mowry and Beautiful Day by Nadia Crétin-Léchenne are very different in design but we’re head over heels for them both right now! We have lots of yarn and colour suggestions for Cinnabar, and some great yarn substitution ideas for Beautiful Day too!

We’ve seen some lovely new patterns popping up the past week or so, so we have a round-up of our favourites here, along with yarn suggestions that we have picked out to match the patterns specifically for their affordability.

With summer finally here, we’re turning our needles towards summer knitting projects. We have a round up of some of our favourite tops, cardigans, shawls and bags here, with yarn suggestions for you too!

We’ve been having very stormy weather here in the UK for the past week or so, and spring is feeling a little distant at the moment. What better way to perk up than with the gorgeous new cowl pattern from Andrea Mowry? Moonwake Cowl uses 4 different colours of mYak Medium, a worsted weight 100% yak yarn. We have colour combination ideas for you!

We received a box of lovely PetiteKnit patterns at the end of last week – how exciting! The PetiteKnit patterns, designed by Mette, who lives in Denmark, are very modern and very on-trend! This week we wanted to shine a spotlight on some of the new PetiteKnit baby patterns we now have in print at Loop – they’re just adorable! Read on to see yarns we would recommend for knitting baby garments.

What an exciting week! Our beautiful new Crepe Myrtle shawl has launched today! Designed for us by Olga Buraya-Kefelian, we now have kits in two different colour ways, and individual printed patterns, available online, in store and at our NYC pop-up, which is open this weekend.
