With December drawing to a close, we’re reflecting on yet another year of woolly wonders here at Loop, and we’re finding so much to celebrate.
Non-crafters may think we’ve lost it, but we know our community of makers will understand what we mean when we say socks are absolutely the best gift you could receive — at Christmas or any other time of year. We love December. A season of giving and receiving, of creating warm and fuzzy feelings even though the temperatures are plummeting, of light and love and bustling streets and fitting in time for everyone you love — and maybe an extra mince pie. Above all, it’s a season of knitting!
So much for Black Friday. We’re following the brilliant Holly Tucker’s lead and celebrating life in full colour today (and, really, every day).
Oh what a delight it is to be among friends. This time of year, with the evenings drawing in ever earlier, we feel the strong pull of the hearth. To sit with others and share and make is really all we want to do, and last month we got to do just that one Saturday evening at Loop with Celia Pym and Freddie Robins.
It may only be November, but here at Loop we are dreaming of winter with our dear friend Dee Hardwicke!
