Taking inspiration from roving style yarns, Quarry is a chunky aran weight, but also light with a lofty feel. As the release date is on the horizon (early September!) we have a few interviews with key creatives who brought it all together. The final design we have to reveal from Loop’s 10 is the Rosemaling Mitts by Tif Fussell (also known as Dottie Angel). These classic hand warmers are a blank canvas for Tif’s signature ‘woolly tattoo’- pretty floral embroidery that she has taken to adorning her knits and clothing with. Psst! One of the final dyers who have contributed to our anniversary book is Koigu. Their one-of-a-kind colour ways are hand painted, capturing a little bit of magic and creativity in each speckle of dye. Now we have not one, but two custom shades to inspire new projects and colour combinations. When we planned our collaborations for the new book, we knew merging the adventurous and kaleidoscopic stitches of Stephen West with the rich colours of Madelinetosh would result in something remarkable.
