The one thing we might love as much as we love fibre is colour and the subtle ways it helps tell stories through craft. This week at Loop we’ve added a load of new colours to our palette from Malabrigo Rios, Laines Vilaines, and Rico Mega Wool Tweed and we can’t wait to knit them up!
A brand new Tiny Tassels Kit has arrived at Loop! This time it’s La Bien Aimée’s luscious Kumo lending its cloud-like softness to this classic Loop pattern.
A new colour of Mette Mehlsen’s Geranium Scarf Kit called “Anne” celebrates all the most beautiful shades of purple. We of course love all of Mette’s work and this gorgeous shawlette is no exception. Geranium’s mixture of texture and colour really shows off Mette’s fantastic hand-dyeing and the extraordinary organic wool base. All of Mette’s wools are hand-dyed using only the best natural ingredients. The colours she’s able to achieve are really stunning, and their subtleties play off each other so well. We’re still trying to find something Sophie Digard can’t create. This incredible French textile artist seems to be able to do it all, from brooches to toys.
Goodness gracious do we have a treat this week. We’re threading our needles with silky, shimmery Lichen and Lace Embroidery Yarn, which is brand new in the shop, and we’ve restocked a ton of stitching books and embroidery goodness to give it a warm welcome.
What a fantastic time we had last weekend at our NONA & Cohana Pop-Up! It was yet another inspiring weekend of craft at Loop and we’re so glad that so many of you could make it. But no need to feel like you’ve missed out if you weren’t able to stop by — we saved some treats for you!

Fun fact: Scheepjes actually has nothing to do with sheep. While many yarn names pay homage to our woolly friends in the animal kingdom, Scheepjes actually means “little ships” in Dutch.
We’re still basking in the glow of our incredible week with Nami Horikawa, Tomomi Mimura, and Naho Izumi, three incredible Japanese makers who shared their time and talents with some of you lovely Loop fans in a series of workshops and classes last week.
