We just can’t get enough of that beautiful summer sun that is starting to shine, which means only one thing, more summer yarns! New to Loop we have the light and soft Alba Cotton from the lovely BC Garn.

Like spring flowers these beautiful Sophie Digard necklaces are blooming all round the shop! Plus in this post we have some colour inspiration to get you ready for our Piccadilly Shawl Knit Along this summer!

A beautiful collection of the most unique yarns, all from small mills in Japan, are inspiring our latest knits. Luxurious silks, marvellous mohair and some multi-coloured treats are all new to Loop this Spring.

As we start to welcome back the warmer weather it’s also time to say hello to some beautiful new cottons! We’re expanding our range of plant fibres like linen and cotton in preparation for the summer projects you have planned. First up we have these cute little bundles from Dutch brand Scheepjes.

Embroidery is a wonderful way to add detail and adorn your knits with something extra special. For this post on the blog we’re taking you through the process of adding the flower motif to the Rosemaling Mitts from Loop’s 10. Make sure you read to the end of the post to find out how you can win an embroidery book!

As well as bringing you the most exquisite knitting and crochet goodies, we’ve been slowly curating beautiful supplies of a craft we also love – embroidery. Perfect for adding a pretty embellishment to a finished knit or as a beautiful detail on it’s own. You’ll now find tools and threads at Loop, plus a range of books to get you inspired. Remember that we are closed Easter Sunday 27th March, but open as normal on Good Friday and Saturday 26th.

Is there a spring in your step? Here in London we’re starting to notice the longer days (more knitting time, right?) and the blossom on the trees starting to bloom. With Easter weekend just round the corner the blog has a distinctly spring like feel. Remember that we are closed Easter Sunday 27th March, but open as normal on Good Friday and Saturday 26th.

Introducing Teazel, the latest fabulous addition to our ever growing collection of Loop patterns. Pretty pops of lace curve round the swingy silhouette of this gorgeous cardigan designed for us by the talented Bristol Ivy.   Bristol’s patterns draw on her interest in tailoring, focusing on structured lines and flattering shapes and Teazel is no exception. With the eyelet details swooping down to a soft flared shape, the cardigan shows the subtly hand dyed variation of Shalimar Breathless Cush (shown here in the colour Foggy Bottom). Want to know more? Well, who better to tell us about the design than Bristol herself!

Time to treat our Mums and those lovely people in our life who are always there for us. What do you mean you forgot it was Mother’s Day this Sunday? If you haven’t found anything yet, then don’t panic, we’ve got some last minute ideas for you! Plus, if you are in the UK, place your order by 2pm and we will dispatch your items the same day. Items will be sent First Class recorded delivery.
