And it’s amazing! The colours are good enough to eat. I’ve seen a swatch knit up, and it is really cosy. I want to make a sweater in this colour… Something with a little texture… or lace. Perhaps Peasy… What do you think? Also, new in for Easter, are these cute lavender filled bunnies by Catherine Tough. They make the shop smell heady. I love a nice bunny! ~Juju at Loop

As I’ve mentioned before, we are building our range of UK independent-dyer yarns at Loop. We started carrying Juno Fibre’s Alice Lace weight yarn after meeting the dyer at Knit Nation, last summer. We loved the yarn so much, we got it in Sock weight as well.

We are now stocking some special products from Sajou in France. We went nuts when we saw how beautifully designed and presented their products were and choose some for our shop. We have beautiful sewing kits, scissors, tape measures, pin cushions and darning threads. I don’t yet own a pair of their scissors but I will be adding the tortoiseshell ones above to my birthday wish list (in March, in case you are wondering). I’m especially delighted with the darning threads because they are 50% wool and 50% nylon and very fine. This makes them perfect for carrying along with …

These are the much loved Ysolda Teague, Veyla mitts from Whimsical Little Knits Two. They are a great way to use-up left-over yarn, as they only take between 10-20g of yarn to complete. I made this pair before Christmas with some left over Old Maiden Aunt yarn in Dreich colour. I used vintage crystal buttons to finish the cuff. They were so pretty. We just got a fresh delivery of Old Maiden Aunt Yarns and this batch is really lovely! I’ve seen Veyla made up successfully, in all sorts of yarns. I really admired a pair by one of our …

We love Madelinetosh yarns at Loop! We started out by carrying just her sock yarns but we loved them so much we started to add others to the collection. Her hand dyed yarn are rich semi-solids in vintage looking colours.  We recently added her aran weight Vintage yarn and her lace weight Prairie yarn. Now her luxury sock yarn, Pashmina has arrived at Loop. It is a 75% merino, 15% silk, and 10% cashmere blend which is softer than her regular sock weight with a subtle silk sheen. Really beautiful! It came in to the store and went out again …

Susan is going nuts for the new Misti Alpaca “Best of Nature“, chunky yarn!  It’s the same base yarn as our popular Misti Alpaca bulky range, but dyed with natural dyes and mordants in soft hand-paint colours. The 100% Baby (super soft) Alpaca yarn is the most organically produced natural fibre in the world. It would make the most sumptuous baby blanket or sweater! Try a simple chevron stitch in a few colours, like this one by Debbie Stoller.

We still have lots of Wollmeise left. Call the shop anytime, to order your own gorgeous skein (or two). This beautiful owl is one of the many lovely things we have in shop from Natalie Lete.
